My story, handcrafted for you

From beach adventures to cherished creations

Shipwrecks at Sea began with a love for beachcombing with my children. Every trip was a treasure hunt, sparking stories of where a found item might have travelled or how old it could be. What started as making small keepsakes for them evolved into a passion. Each piece of sea glass and stone we collected was unique, and I wanted to ensure those memories continued. Using letters from all our names, "Shipwrecks at Sea" was born, transforming each treasure into its own unique piece of jewellery or gift.

Unique pieces, personal memories

The most important thing I want people to know about Shipwrecks at Sea is that each piece carries a personal memory from my family, as well as a journey of its own. Collecting these treasures brings me happiness and calmness, and I pour all my effort into creating each item. It's never rushed; I spend time contemplating each individual piece. Because we use all-natural resources, every creation is unique, a true testament to the beauty found in nature and the thoughtfulness of its craft.

The organised chaos of crafting

My crafting process is what I like to call "organised chaos." My desk often ends up quite disorganised, but it helps me visualise what things could become or how different elements might work together. It's in this creative mess that ideas truly flourish. I also have a little tradition: I tend to sing quietly when twisting wire. It helps me maintain the rhythm of the turns, ensuring precision and preventing mistakes. This blend of intuition and method allows me to bring each piece to life.

"I hope they smile and are happy. I hope they see the uniqueness in what I do and its beauty. I hope they feel a sense of calm and grounding."
